For those bringing food

First of all thank you so much!

I thought it might be be helpful to post about what other awesome goodies our awesome friends are bringing.

Jen, Kasey, Bill, Bret and AJ are tackling the whole pig.

Jen and I are also going to make a big thing of black beans and rice.

Nonya is making pineapple cake and peanut cream pies and if you were at John and Nonya's wedding then you know she can make same damn wonderful cake!

Kristy is making some appetizers and finger foods!

Rica is bringing rolls

Kristin is making potato salad and corn bread

Jill is bringing curried deviled eggs!

Dad is bringing a couple cases of miller light for those of you that fear the home brew ;)

I will keep updating this as I hear from more folks. Thanks everyone! Looking forward to partying with all of you!

Registry and gift info

We really want to stress that this really is just a big celebration so the biggest gift is getting to party with all our wonderful friends and family. If you are wanting to get us something and need some ideas, here are some thoughts we have.

1) Bring some food to share: We are making the pig and a few sides ... any grub would be greatly appreciated.

2) If you are local any gifts certificates from the home brewery would be awesome!

3) We will register at target sometime this week

We are really looking forward to seeing all of you, cheers!

Project - Homebrew on tap for the party

As a lot of you know we have been making beer and fermenting anything we can get our hands on for over a year now. We are setting up 4 taps of our own beer for the big party. We are starting on our 4 tap keg (5 gal each) system tonight.

So far the beers on tap (subject to change) will be ...
1 Brittish Summer Ale
2 Chicks Dig it - Blonde
3 Dudely Dark Ale
4 Dubbel Date
5 Belgian White Ale
(this one will be on draft after we finish one of the previous flavors)

Cheers!

Live Music

As some of you may know, we are pretty big fans of live music ... and what outdoor outlaw wedding would be right without some live music? We hired a very fun and talented local band called Shout LuLu. They will be playing an acoustic set outside for the party. Check out their tunes on the website linked above and wear your dancing pants to the party ;) Cheers!

Pig Roast Baby!

So as some of you may know we are roasting a whole pig with the very generous help of AJ and Bret. Here is a link to the method we are going for. It is a cuban style pig and should be really tasty! Also thought this could be inspiration for those of you that are bringing side dishes.

Invites

Invites are going out today. The artwork on them was created by Tony Elliott, since it was way too close for me to do it ... plus the dude is so talented. He really did an amazing job! Thank you Tony!

Welcome

This is our ceremony blog, more info to come!
